History Logger Osclass Plugin

Plugin store information about listings and users, even these are changed or removed by their owners in order to preserve historical data. Basic stats are collected about data stored by plugin and convenient way to search & filter logs.

Log item and user changes

History Logger Plugin does not provide any front-office features, but has powerful back-office functionality to create item & user logs when there are actions made on item/user records.

Data are stored for defined number of months, by default retention period is 24 months and can be updated in plugin configuration.

Item logs

Plugin create log record for listing and will contain following information:

• Item Id
• User ID, contact name, email, phone, other
• Category
• Location
• Title, description
• Attributes (custom fields)
• Price
• Publish date
• Status of item (based on spam, active & enabled flag)
• Action that has been logged
• Date

Log is created, when one of following actions is performed (by user or by admin):

• Item created or edited
• Item activated or deactivated
• Renewal
• Item enabled or disabled
• Item marked or unmarked as spam
• Item marked or unmarked as premium
• Item removed

User logs

Plugin create log for user record and will contain following information:

• User ID
• IP address
• Name, email and phone
• Location
• User description (about info)
• Registration date
• Status (based on enabled and active flags)
• Action that has been logged
• Date

New log is created, when following actions are performed on user record:

• User created or edited
• User activated or deactivated
• User enabled or disabled
• User validated
• Use removed

Use case of logger plugin

In common situations, plugin will provide no benefit, however in particular situations, you may be requested by police department or government to provide logs about particular users or items in order to clarify criminal activity.

In some countries this may be legal requirement for classified websites to evidence logs about listings advertised on website as well as user data related to these records.
