Flash News Plugin is awesome tool to share hot news and short information to your customers in very efficient way. Plugin generates top/bottom bar with running repeating infinite loop generated by news.

Besides plugins like Blog plugin, flash news plugin is much more efficient when sharing one line short messages and information those should be visible to everyone without need to access news or blog section. News message should be short 1-line information that can be quickly read in running top bar news box. Plugin allows to create unlimitted number of news as well as sort them in different ways.

Create hot message/news

Message basically contains from title & description, but it has much more customization options:

Title - highlighted part of message at start
Description - news details, should not be too long
Link - optional, when defined, click on message open link in new window
Locale - create message for customers with specified locale only, or show for all locales
Shape & Color - attention-grabbing element to create shape of defined color at start of message (i.e. red circle, blue square, yellow diamond, ...)
Enabled - enable or disable message, when it should not be visible
Date - timestamp when message was created or updated

News box configuration and customization

Plugin comes with rich configuration and customization options to make design of news box matching your theme or brand design.

Enable - enable or disable news box completely. This allows to quickly disable news bar when not needed, without unistalling plugin.
Position - news bar can be positioned at top or bottom
Display - type of box display, can be fixed (always visible) or absolute
Direction - direction of running messages, can be left to right or right to left, means from which side are messages running.
Speed - speed of running messages slide. Slide can also be disabled by setting speed to 0.
Show date - select if you would like to show create/update date of messages to customers.
Colors - select news box background and font color
Sorting - sort messages by ID asc/desc or by Date asc/desc
Other - font size, margin, padding, border radius, custom CSS code

I have tried this plugin on the desktop, tablet and mobile phone - works well on all three devices! Also tired using it with FireFox and Microsoft edge browsers with excellent results on both so far. Overall its a great plugin! Recommendation: Try condensing plugin menus to conserve admin panel sidebar space and show only plugin names and hover over each plugin name to access the plugin menu.

The plugin uses the marquee tag for animation, this tag has been removed from web standards and is obsolete. The animation is not fluid on firefox and safari. it is being eradicated and the animation can block at any time. Hoping for an update to fix this with modern web standards...
