Add falling snow to the public pages of your Osclass classifieds. The Snowfall Plugin is set from the plugin screen. Your theme files stay as they are. Turn it on, choose the flakes, and save.
Snow you can see on a white page
The default color is a near-white. A soft shadow keeps each flake visible on light pages, including white headers and search boxes. You can switch to ice, warm white, or your own color. On a dark page the shadow stays lighter, so the flakes stay clear.
Flake, motion, and look
The shape list shows a picture of each flake: classic snowflakes, a heavier star, a petal, an eight-point star, a diamond, a circle, or a mix. In a mix, each flake gets its own shape.
- Animation: Steady falls straight down. Sway moves sideways. Spin rotates the flake. Tumble sways and spins.
- Effect: Twinkle fades flakes in and out. Glow adds a soft halo. None leaves the flake plain.
- Shadow: None, Soft, or Strong. Soft and Strong keep light flakes visible on a white page.
- Size: tiny through extra large.
Only nearby flakes move for the cursor
Flakes close to the pointer slide aside and turn. The rest of the snow keeps falling. Set this to off, soft, normal, or strong.
Speed, density, and dates
- Speed, from a slow fall to a blizzard.
- Density, from a light dusting to a storm.
- Opacity and sideways wind.
- A lighter snowfall on phones, or no snow on phones.
- Optional start and end dates, so snow can run only for the holidays.
If a visitor has reduced motion turned on in the browser, the snow stays hidden.
Works with your current theme
Snow is drawn over the public site and does not block clicks. It works with Osclass themes, including Eta and Sigma. More front-office extras are in Design and interface.
Install
- If the site is not online yet, install Osclass from the official download.
- In the Osclass admin, open Plugins, upload the Snowfall Plugin zip, then install it.
- Open the plugin settings, enable snow, set the look, and save.
